5th Annual Barnhartvale Quad
Run
May 31st, 2009
The 2009 Barnhartvale Quad run will be held on Sunday May 31, 2009
at the Scuitto Lake staging area in Kamloops. Map and directions
attached. This will be the 5th year it has been put on by a
dedicated group from the Barnhartvale area to raise monies for the
local community, we have joined this year to help in any way we can.
All monies raised will go to the Barnhartvale Community.
“Let’s Help The Hall”
Over the last 4 years, 30 local Dallas and Barnhartvale business men
have gotten together to have a fun ride and last year was their
largest run having 70 riders and raised $3,200.00 for the community
hall.Your ticket gives you as a rider some breakfast munchies like
Tim Horton muffins, donuts, Van Houtte coffee and hot chocolate as
well as Blackwell Dairy milk products, a hot lunch of smokies chips
etc. at a fire part way through the ride then a steak & potato
dinner at the end. It’s a 70km ride through the Scuitto Lake area.

“This is a dry run which means no booze.”
No Camping in the grassland area, the local farmers are working with
us so please respect their grasslands.
2009 GKAA Memberships available on site.
Remember this is a ride not a race.
7 am opening at the staging area, there will be 8 different groups
leaving at different intervals starting at 8:45 am.
$60.00 per rider capped at 150 riders. With all monies going towards
a new roof on the community hall.
Ride tickets will go on sale April 1st at all quad dealers in
Kamloops.
Staging area is located 2 kms down Scuitto Lake Road. There will be
signage, directions attached.
Some of this run is on forestry roads which require liability
insurance, a valid driver’s license and a DOT helmet.
If you have two riders on one machine it must be a factory 2-up. No
exceptions. Also two people on a machine constitutes two riders at
$60.00 apiece.
There will be four first aid attendants, two way radios and cell
phones for leaders and rear rider also three helicopter extraction
points.
All ticket holders are encouraged to bring a non perishable food
item for the Kamloops Food Bank.
Dinner only tickets are available for $30.00 as well as hamburgers
and hot dogs will be sold at the staging area.
Please load your machine at the end of the run. We don’t want anyone
running around in the staging area as it is a farmer’s grassland.
Lots of silent auction items, bring your cash!!! Visa and MasterCard
don’t work in the bush.
